Job Summary
Lead Sales Associate at Dollar General provides customer-service leadership, helps maintain a clean, well-organized store, operates the cash register, stocks and recovers merchandise, builds merchandise displays, assists with planograms, and may open/close the store in the absence of the Store Manager. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and typically some supervisory experience; emphasizes interpersonal and cash-handling skills, adherence to safety policies, ability to process transactions, and drive to bank deposits as part of store operations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred
- Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills
- Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandise presentation guides
- Ability to perform cash register functions
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control
- Ability to drive own vehicle to the bank to deposit money
