Job Summary
Lead Sales Associate at Dollar General in Bradfordsville, KY–functions as a cashier and/or stocker with lead capacity in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager. Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking and rotating merchandise, implementing and maintaining plan-o-grams, assisting customers, operating the cash register, handling payments and refunds, maintaining store cleanliness and displays, and providing superior customer service leadership while ensuring store safety and security. The role requires math proficiency, cash handling knowledge, plan-o-gram adherence, merchandising and inventory tasks, and the ability to supervise cashiers as needed. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
- Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.
- Knowledge of cash, facility and safety control policies and practices.
- Effective interpersonal and oral & written communication skills.
- Understanding of safety policies and practices.
- Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
