Job Summary
Support shift activities and act as the expert during assigned shifts, providing daily staffing support, resource management, and preceptor tasks. Deliver the highest standards of patient safety while managing ventilators including Servo I, HFOV, and bubble CPAP across adult ICU, medical/surgical, and progressive care units. Assist with bronchoscopy, perform inpatient EKGs, and support deliveries and NICU care for babies receiving respiratory treatment. Serve as a role model and advocate for a collaborative team environment between staff and physicians.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences
- Minimum of two years clinical experience in respiratory care
- Current BCLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Current NRP certification
- Proficiency in all patient care settings (i.e., adult ICU, NICU)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Current licensure as a Respiratory Care Professional in the state of Georgia
Desired Qualifications
- NICU experience
- Ability to ramp up basic skill set (i.e., delivery support, blood gases, equipment setup) within a defined timeframe
