Job Summary
Oversee clinical practice quality in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit by training, allocating, and monitoring respiratory therapists while coordinating schedules with the Adult Lead Therapist. Provide highest standards of patient safety and care to neonatal patients, serving as a role model for a collaborative team environment. Manage respiratory equipment including GE Carescape R860 vents, Servo I vents, Drager VN500 HFOV vents, and various CPAP systems. Assist with bronchoscopies using Glidescope disposables and support deliveries for babies admitted to the level 3 NICU. This full-time day role at Piedmont Eastside in Snellville, GA, requires an RRT with two years of Level III NICU experience. The team consists of approximately 50 members across adult cardiac, medical/surgical, and acute care units. Candidates may cross-train on EEGs, PFTs, and NICU protocols, with opportunities to shadow the department and facility.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences
- 2 years of progressive work experience in a Level III NICU
- RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist credential
- current licensure as a Respiratory Care Professional in the state of Georgia
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
