Job Summary
Oversee quality of clinical practice in the NICU by training, allocating, and monitoring respiratory therapists while coordinating scheduling with the Adult Lead Therapist. Provide high-standard care to neonatal patients, manage ventilators including Servo I and HFOV systems, and assist with bronchoscopy using Glidescope disposables. Coordinate work between staff and physicians, serve as a role model for a collaborative team environment, and advocate for patient safety. Shadow the department and facility as part of the onboarding process. This full-time day role covers South Campus units including the ED and acute care rehab, with a team of approximately 50 members led by a director and supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences
- 2 years of progressive work experience in a Level III NICU
- RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist credential by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- current licensure as a Respiratory Care Professional in the state of Georgia
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- Level III NICU
