Job Summary
Lead Room Service Assistant lead role coordinating patient meals and room-service operations at the Broadway Campus. Provides daily supervision of room service assistant staff, leads a variety of food-service duties for patients, ensures appropriate meal ordering and diet parameters, trains and mentors staff, enforces HACCP guidelines, and collaborates with nursing staff, nutrition techs, dietitians and call-center staff. Uses diet sheets and patient computer system to process meal orders, communicates menus and diet instructions to patients, and tracks intake and calories. Requires leadership in the food service/room service scope and supports continuous improvement efforts; shift is Day, with 6:00 AM–2:30 PM hours and rotating weekends/holidays. Minimum of one year experience; CDM and Serv Safe credentials may be required per location.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of one year experience required
- CDM course completed within two years of hire and/or a current student in a dictionary program
- CDM must be renewed every three years
- Serv Safe may be required to obtain within a designated time frame, typically one year
- Serv Safe must be renewed every five years
