Job Summary
Coordinate daily clinical operations in the UTICA, NY specialty office by relaying work instructions, distributing assignments, and monitoring quality. Provide direct patient care to specialty providers while acting as the central point of contact for nursing standards, EMR workflows, and clinical practice changes. Mentor staff on competency and performance, assist with new hire orientation, and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines. Manage clinical supplies, medication storage, and equipment maintenance, serving as the liaison between internal and external departments. Resolve procedural issues with the Office Manager and attend staff meetings to relay pertinent information.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a professional nursing education program
- At least 2-3 years' experience working within a specialty office setting
- Proficient ability in use of electronic medical record, specifically established nursing work flows
- Problem solving, decision making and critical thinking skills
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication and excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to interact with variety of clinicians, providers, staff and patients in positive manner
- Ability to adapt easily to changing conditions and work responsibilities
- Ability to influence, guide and motivate others to perform their jobs effectively
- Displays a positive attitude and is a positive agent for change
- Attention to details of a project or task
- Must be able to work in a self-directed environment, with an ability to work with and lead teams
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, EMR
- Current New York State licensure as a Registered Nurse
- BLS/CPR certification
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Additional certification in relevant nursing specialty
