Lead Risk Specialist (Nuclear Power)

Job Summary

Lead cross-functional risk review meetings and develop reports for management and executives. Diagnose technical project topics, capture inputs from subject matter experts, and document risk characterization, mitigation actions, and status updates in the risk register. Provide teams with risk assessment methodologies and register expertise through facilitation, assistance, and training. Conduct major risk assessments, develop new methodologies, and resolve stakeholder divergences with tact. Analyze data across business units and projects, maintain risk indicators, and coordinate workshop facilitation for business unit assessments. Requires 8–10 years in engineering design or project management with nuclear refurbishment experience, contingency modeling skills, and PMP certification. One-year contract at Darlington Nuclear site.

Required Qualifications

  • A period of over 8 years and up to and including 10 years in engineering design, outage management, project management, etc
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and achieve results without step by step direction from manager on daily basis
  • Must have strong planning capability and experience with reporting using Microsoft office tools ( excel/access/etc)

Desired Qualifications

  • Specific Project Management Experience in nuclear project refurbishment projects
  • Experience in contingency modeling
  • PMP certification
