Job Summary
Lead the assigned shift by analyzing patient needs and skill competency levels to make patient assignments, ensuring safe and timely care delivery. Facilitate interdisciplinary communication and planning, including discharge coordination, while communicating concerns to the direct leader. Assign shift workload and preceptors, maintain daily equipment function and calibration, and monitor inventory to ensure staff have necessary tools. Provide direct patient care, medication administration, and clinical support to staff, physicians, and families. Participate in process improvement, committee activities, and safety and quality initiatives to enhance patient care delivery. Night shift in the United States. Requires NBRC credentials (ACCS, AE-C, NPS, RPFT) for new hires after 11/13/2022.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Respiratory Therapy or Bachelors Respiratory Therapy
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ARC-ALS - Amer Red Cross Advanced Life Support or ACLS-I - ACLS - Instructor
- PALS - Pediatric Adv Life Support or ARC-PALS - Amer Red Cross Pediatric Advanced Life Support or PALS-I - PALS - Instructor or PALS-P - PALS-Provisional (180 Days) within 180 Days
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program or ARC-NALS - Amer Red Cross Neonatal Advanced Life Support or NRP-I - NRP - Instructor or NRP-P - NRP-Provisional (180 Days) within 180 Days
- NBRC-RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapi
- RCP - Respiratory Care Prof
- Current advance credential with a minimum of two (2) years clinical experience to work in all critical care areas but not limited to Adult ICU, CVICU, BURN, NICU, Emergency Departments (Adult and Pediatric)
- 100 credit hours towards a B.S. degree may be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor's degree
- Must have one or more of the following NBRC Credentials: ACCS, AE-C, NPS, RPFT (AE-C certifications prior to September 1, 2022 issued by National Asthma Educator Certification Board)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Prvdr within 180 Days Preferred or NRP - Instructor within 180 Days Preferred
