Job Summary
Lead the assigned shift by analyzing patient needs and skill levels to make safe patient assignments, ensuring timely care delivery including discharge. Provide direct patient care, medication administration, and equipment calibration while monitoring inventory and assisting with staffing levels. Facilitate interdisciplinary communication, precept new employees, and support student clinical rotations. Maintain current knowledge of the patient population, identify learning needs, and participate in process improvement and safety initiatives. Comply with all system policies and standards of work.
Required Qualifications
- NBRC Credentials: ACCS, AE-C, NPS, RPFT (AE-C certifications prior to September 1, 2022 issued by National Asthma Educator Certification Board)
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ARC-ALS - Amer Red Cross Advanced Life Support or ACLS-I - ACLS - Instructor
- PALS - Pediatric Adv Life Support or ARC-PALS - Amer Red Cross Pediatric Advanced Life Support or PALS-I - PALS - Instructor or PALS-P - PALS-Provisional (180 Days) within 180 Days
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program or ARC-NALS - Amer Red Cross Neonatal Advanced Life Support or NRP-I - NRP - Instructor or NRP-P - NRP-Provisional (180 Days) within 180 Days
- NBRC-RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapi
- RCP - Respiratory Care Prof
- Current advance credential with a minimum of two (2) years clinical experience to work in all critical care areas but not limited to Adult ICU, CVICU, BURN, NICU, Emergency Departments (Adult and Pediatric)
- Associates Respiratory Therapy or Bachelors Respiratory Therapy
Desired Qualifications
- Neonatal Resuscitation Prvdr within 180 Days Preferred
- NRP - Instructor within 180 Days Preferred
- 100 credit hours towards a B.S. degree may be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor's degree
