Job Summary
Lead Respiratory Therapist Lead for Respiratory Therapy department responsible for shift assignments, performing performance appraisals, supervising staff therapists, orienting new employees, and providing patient care as needed. Requires an accredited program in Respiratory Therapy (Associates or Bachelors), active Missouri Respiratory Care license with NBRC RRT credential, BLS within 30 days, ACLS and NRP within 6 months, and a minimum of two years of Respiratory Care experience (one year supervisory experience preferred). The role supports a multi-hospital system with diverse services including obstetrics, fertility, emergency services, trauma, stroke care, and specialized centers; strong leadership and teamwork skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelors in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program
- Current Respiratory Therapist license from Missouri Board for Respiratory Care and NBRC RRT credential
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification within 30 days of hire
- ACLS and NRP within 6 months of hire
- Minimum of two years of Respiratory Care experience
- One year of recent supervisory experience preferred
