Job Summary
Coordinate daily shift activities for respiratory therapists and technicians, ensuring adherence to department standards, performance improvements, and budgetary compliance. Adjust work assignments based on workload fluctuations, staffing needs, or unexpected events. Provide leadership, assist with assessments, and initiate orders according to established protocols. Resolve procedural or equipment issues and address patient, physician, or nursing complaints by reporting incidents to the Department Director. Requires Level 3 NICU experience, RRT certification, and current Illinois licensure. Schedule includes Monday through Friday, 7pm to 7:30am, with every other weekend and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from a nationally accredited Respiratory Therapy program, as determined by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC)
- Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association
- RRT certification
- NALS certification
- PALS certification
- Current State of Illinois DPR Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure
- Level 3 NICU experience
