Job Summary
Lead and manage residential HVAC installation projects from start to finish, install and replace residential AC systems (split systems, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits), supervise apprentice or helper installers, ensure installations meet manufacturer specifications, company standards, and local codes, install ductwork and refrigerant lines, perform system start-up, testing, and commissioning, diagnose and resolve installation issues, communicate with homeowners regarding operation and maintenance, maintain a clean and safe job site, complete documentation and coordination with dispatch, management, and sales teams. Skills/experience include high school diploma or GED, 3+ years HVAC installation, EPA 608 certification, valid driver’s license, proven leadership, knowledge of HVAC systems, ability to lift 50+ lbs, and willingness to train junior installers. Prefer HVAC trade school, NATE certification, experience with high-efficiency/variable-speed systems, advanced brazing and refrigerant handling, mentoring capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 3+ years of residential HVAC installation experience
- EPA Section 608 Certification required
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Proven leadership or crew lead experience
- Strong understanding of residential HVAC systems, airflow, and electrical fundamentals
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in attics, crawlspaces, rooftops, and outdoor environments
