Job Summary
Interpret project-level scope of work, plan commissioning schedules, and lead teams through test activities while adhering to safety protocols. Interpret substation drawings, write procedures and test plans, and execute voltage/current input verification, metering checks, relay calibration, trip testing, and alarm validation. Lead and perform routine troubleshooting, repair, and commissioning of protective relays, control equipment, and SCADA systems. Provide technical mentorship to junior field personnel and serve as a subject matter expert for small project teams. Perform regular indoor and outdoor field work, communicate with diverse clients, and apply client switching procedures and safety measures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET university or Associates/ AET degree
- degree with an emphasis on power systems
- Minimum of 5 years of field experience in commissioning, panel and equipment checkout, relay calibration, testing and repairing substation relaying and control schemes
- Valid Driver's license
- good driving record
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (inclusive of reading and writing)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)

- Experience in substation design (including protection & control engineering)
- Experience in substation construction
- Experience in substation commissioning
- Experience in SCADA/Fault Data/SER/Integration-Automation equipment installation and testing
- 3 phase power systems
