Job Summary

Lead and oversee the nightly shift for respiratory care services, directing safe patient care, analyzing patient needs, assigning workloads, and coordinating interdisciplinary planning. Serve as a clinical resource to staff, physicians, patients, and families; facilitate onboarding and precepting; support PI initiatives, data collection/analysis, and quality/safety measures; monitor equipment, inventory, and staff education; and participate in process improvements and ongoing professional development.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree: Associate or Bachelor in Respiratory Therapy (Associate degree required; Bachelor’s preferred)
  • NBRC credentials: ACCS, AE-C, NPS, RPFT (as of hire)
  • BLS certification (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS certification (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • PALS certification (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) or PALS Instructor/Provisional variants
  • NRP certification (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) or NRP Instructor/Provisional variants
  • RRT credential (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or NBRC-RRT
  • RCP (Respiratory Care Professional) certification
  • 2+ years of clinical experience in critical care areas (Adult ICU, CVICU, Burn, NICU, ED)
  • Ability to lead shift and provide precepting/education to staff
  • Participation in PI initiatives and quality/safety programs
  • Ability to monitor equipment and support staffing and inventory management
  • Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy (or higher) or equivalent experience in a leadership role
