Job Summary
Lead Registered Respiratory Therapist on the night shift directing and overseeing the daily care activities of the assigned shift. Provides direct patient care, medication administration, and ensures equipment resources and function; serves as a clinical resource/support to staff, physicians, patients, families, and other departments; may supervise patient assignments; supports PI initiatives and data collection/analysis for PI activities; drives leadership, collaboration, and safety/quality initiatives across the shift; supports onboarding and precepting for new employees and student rotations; maintains current knowledge of respiratory care practices and participates in process improvement and education initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- NBRC Credentials: ACCS, AE-C, NPS, RPFT (AE-C certifications prior to September 1, 2022 issued by NBRC)
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - American Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ARC-ALS - American Red Cross Advanced Life Support or ACLS-I - ACLS - Instructor
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support or ARC-PALS - American Red Cross Pediatric Advanced Life Support or PALS-I - PALS - Instructor or PALS-P - PALS-Provisional (180 Days) within 180 Days
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program or ARC-NALS - American Red Cross Neonatal Advanced Life Support or NRP-I - NRP - Instructor or NRP-P - NRP-Provisional (180 Days) within 180 Days
- NBRC-RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist
- RCP - Respiratory Care Professional
- Additional Licenses/Certifications: Neonatal Resuscitation Provider within 180 Days Preferred, NRP-Instructor within 180 Days Preferred
