Lead Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner

Job Summary
Lead the daily management and supervision of the respiratory care staff, performing clinical duties including patient assessment, ventilator management, diagnostic evaluation, and other respiratory care as needed. Serve as an expert clinician and leader/resource to the healthcare team, coordinating scheduling and priorities for staff; organize department functions; educate patients about their illnesses and therapies; ensure adequate supplies and equipment; supervise staffing levels, billing procedures, and equipment maintenance; orient/train new staff; participate in performance improvement; assist in emergency resuscitation when certified; uphold infection control measures; maintain compliance with department policies and hospital standards; vaccinations required as condition of employment per Adventist Health policy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelor's): Preferred
- Master's Degree: Preferred
- Five years' technical experience with specialized knowledge in PICC, Peds, and/or NICU: Preferred
- Two years' leadership experience: Preferred
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential and Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license: Required in CA
- CPR/BLS certification from AH policy: Required
- NRP certification: Preferred
- ACLS certification: Preferred
- PALS certification: Preferred
- PEARS certification: Preferred
- NBRC-RRT credential or NBRC-CRT credential: Required
- BLS certification from AH policy: Required
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelor's)
- Master's Degree (Preferred)

- Two years' leadership experience (Preferred)
