Job Summary

Lead the daily management and supervision of the respiratory care staff, perform clinical duties including patient assessment and ventilator management, act as an expert clinician and leader/resource to the healthcare team; organize staffing, scheduling, and departmental policies; ensure equipment, supplies, infection control, and training; participate in emergency resuscitation as required; required licenses and certifications in CA; hospital-based inpatient respiratory care with focus on PICU/NICU and neonatal care.

Required Qualifications

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential and Respiratory Care Practitioner(RCP) license: Required in CA
  • CPR/BLS: Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS): Required
  • NBRC-RRT or NBRC-CRT: Required
  • NEONATAL Resuscitation Program (NRP): Preferred
  • ACLS/PALS/PEARS: Preferred
  • Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS): Preferred
  • Registered or Certified by NBRC: Required
  • Two years' leadership experience: Preferred
  • Five years' technical experience with PICC, Peds, NICU: Preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent: Preferred
  • Master's Degree: Preferred
