Job Summary
Lead Respiratory Care Practitioner responsible for daily management and supervision of the respiratory care staff, delivering clinical care including patient assessment, ventilator management, and diagnostic evaluation. Serves as an expert clinician and resource to the healthcare team, coordinates staff work assignments, and supports education of patients regarding respiratory therapy. Oversees department operations, equipment, supplies, infection control, and adherence to policies and procedures; participates in emergency resuscitation when needed and mentors new staff.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential and Respiratory Care Practitioner(RCP) license: Required in CA
- CPR or BLS: Required
- NBRC-RRT or NBRC-CRT: Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS): Required
