Job Summary
Lead the respiratory care department in a hospital setting, overseeing daily operations, clinical supervision, and staff scheduling. Provide expert clinical care including patient assessment, ventilator management, diagnostic evaluation, and therapy administration. Ensure adherence to department policies, maintain equipment and supplies, train new staff, and participate in performance improvement initiatives. Requires RRT certification and CA license with leadership experience; preferred advanced degrees and certifications (NRP, ACLS, PALS) with NICU/PICU/Peds expertise.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential and Respiratory Care Practitioner(RCP) license: Required in CA
- CPR/BLS: Required
- NBRC-RRT or NBRC-CRT: Required
- BLS: Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
- NBRC-CRT or NBRC-RRT: Required
