Job Summary
Direct nursing care including port flushes, injections, administering infusions, and supporting triage while ensuring patient education and packet assembly are completed. Plan and direct unit activities, assign work to nurses and pharmacy technicians, and prepare schedules to ensure coverage for patient needs and staff time off. Collaborate with the Clinical Nurse Manager to evaluate staff skills, plan new employee orientation, and provide regular coaching and performance feedback. Oversee pharmacy stock levels, maintain PAR levels, and manage medical supply ordering. Complete incident reports, adverse event reports, and daily variance reports while ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and departmental policies.
Required Qualifications
- Unencumbered RN License in the state of employment or multi-state licensure
- Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree in nursing
- Registered Nurse license
- Certification of OCN required within two years of employment
- Current CPR certification
- Valid state Driver's License
- Compliance with the company Driver Safety Operations and Motor Vehicle Records Check Policy
- At least two years of experience with hematology/oncology patients in a clinic or hospital
- Critical thinking skills including solid problem solving, analysis, decision-making, planning, time management and organizational skills
- Must be detailed oriented with the ability to exercise independent judgment
- Developed interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, diplomacy, tact, conflict management, delegation skills, and diversity awareness
- Ability to work effectively with sensitive and confidential material and sometimes emotionally charged matters
- Good command of the English language

- Will be expected to work at any AON location to help meet AON business needs, within reasonable expectations
- Will be expected overtime when given sufficient notice
- Attend and participate in CNM and RDN scheduled meetings
- Will be expected to function and staff as a Registered Nurse when necessary
- Must be able to perform port flushes, injections, administering all types of infusions and supporting nurse triage
