Job Summary
Collect and dispose of recyclable materials from university buildings and exterior containers, operating vehicles and equipment to transport loads to the Waste Education Center. Deconstruct and prepare metals by cutting, heating, and melting, while inspecting, sorting, and separating various materials in compliance with environmental laws. Perform preventative maintenance on recycling machinery and schedule staff training for recycling operations. Maintain recycling records and coordinate with vendors to ensure proper processing and shipment.
Required Qualifications
- Meet the minimum requirements to drive on state/university business
- Ability to obtain a certification of fork lift operation
