Job Summary
Direct day-to-day activities of the Radiology Diagnostic department under Manager/Supervisor/Ops Coordinator direction, including supervision of technical and support staff. Perform a wide variety of technical procedures with quality patient care, assisting Physicians as needed. Ensure optimal image QA, understand and apply appropriate imaging techniques, and position patients according to department protocols. Manage daily staffing levels, ensure constant patient flow, and solve problems to promote positive relationships with internal and external customers. Provide pre and post procedure education to patients and families, verify patient identification, and maintain strict confidentiality. Complete exams in IDXrad, provide correct coding and billing modifiers, and ensure all images are accounted for by shift end. Maintain adequate inventory, equipment maintenance, and adherence to departmental policies, radiation safety, and standard precautions.
Required Qualifications
- Satisfactory completion of formal training program in an AMA approved school
- Meets the requirements of an appropriate State and/or Federal mandated certification or equivalent
- AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare)
- Licensure - Diagnostic: CRT
- Licensure - Diagnostic: Fluoroscopy
- Licensure - Diagnostic: ARRT
