Job Summary
Lead Radiation Therapist – St. Francis Medical Center delivers prescribed doses of external beam and radioactive elements, operates and troubleshoots therapeutic equipment, and serves as a technical resource and point person for departmental operations in the absence of the Chief Radiation Therapist. Responsibilities include applying radiation therapy theory and procedures, ensuring radiation safety, performing dose calculations, maintaining patient records, and supporting department quality assurance while collaborating with the Radiation Oncologist, Physicist, and Manager to meet goals and uphold the organization’s mission and values. Required licenses/certifications include a State License in Radiation Oncology, ARRT Certification in Radiation Oncology, and CPR; experience requirements include 1 year in Radiation Therapy and CT Simulation, with 3 years of relevant therapy experience preferred.
