Job Summary
Set up and breakdown start and finish line equipment, including timing and PA systems, while operating the primary timing system during races. Manage participant flow at the start and finish lines, handle new participant registrations, and produce and post race results promptly. Respond to participant questions about race results and ensure data accuracy under time-sensitive conditions. This role requires constant communication with the starter, strong skiing skills to ski the entire mountain, and the ability to drive in snow. Weekday nights and weekend mornings are required, with race days and times varying.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to problem-solve and work in a time-sensitive environment
- Experience with Excel and basic computer skills
- Punctual and reliable
- Weekday nights and weekend mornings required (race days/times can vary)
- Must have a valid driver's license and be comfortable driving in snow
- Ability to lift 20-50 pounds
- Strong skiing skills required; must be able to ski the entire mountain proficiently
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with racers, officials, and staff
- Reliable transportation required with the ability to navigate snowy or winter conditions
