Job Summary
Lead Quality Inspector (2nd Shift) to lead and mentor a team of Quality Inspectors in a high-relability aerospace/defense manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include coordinating daily activities and workflows, performing in-process, final, and First Article Inspections (FAI) using advanced metrology tools, reading and interpreting complex drawings/blueprints, and ensuring adherence to 5S and quality standards. The role requires hands-on inspection experience with structural, avionics, or propulsion manufacturing, proficiency with ASME Y14.5 GD&T, CMM tools, and familiarity with AS9100/ISO 9001; strong communication to influence engineering and production stakeholders; and leadership to guide a cross-functional inspector workforce. Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, 3+ years in aerospace/defense/high-reliability environments, and U.S. Person status. The position offers a competitive salary range ($34-$46 per hour, converted to an annualized $70,720–$95,840) and full-time benefits in Santa Ana, CA.
