Job Summary
The Lead Quality Control Engineer (LQCE) is responsible for managing the quality control (QC) processes on various projects, implementing QC policies, and making quality-related recommendations. The role involves mentoring junior QC engineers and performing QC activities on multiple projects. Key responsibilities include reviewing quality logs, overseeing the rectification of non-conforming work, ensuring compliance with contractual and code requirements, scheduling inspections, and participating in continuous improvement processes. A 4-year degree in civil or structural engineering, architecture, or construction management is required, alongside technical experience in QC for large commercial construction.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience on large commercial construction projects.
- Strong communication skills.
- Technically experienced and capable of comprehending specifications, standards, and code requirements for all disciplines (architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Prolog, Primavera, and AutoCAD.
