Job Summary
Oversee daily Quality and Point of Care services for the laboratory, assisting the Medical Director with continuous, reliable department operations. Implement and maintain the continuous quality improvement program, monitoring protocols, tools, and systems to prevent and correct quality deviations. Collaborate with the Director of Laboratory Services, Medical Director, and nursing staff on quality management and patient satisfaction initiatives. Maintain readiness for accreditation entities while ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, CDC standards, and emergency codes. Ensure all laboratory quality measures are communicated and kept current across outpatient clinics and supported outreach locations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in a chemical, physical, or biological science or medical technology
- at least 4 years of general lab experience in high complexity testing
- MLS/MLT certification
- Punctual attendance at assigned work location
- ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of emergency codes
- compliance with OSHA regulations and CDC standard and transmission-based precaution recommendations
- ability to comply with provisions of applicable S.D.S. forms
- ability to achieve all departmental goals and competencies
Desired Qualifications
- experience in Point of Care
- Two years' previous hospital supervisory experience
