Lead PT Freight Ops

Job Summary
Lead dock labor at show sites by assigning qualified personnel, overseeing loading and unloading operations, and ensuring all equipment and tools are ready for use. Adhere to safe operations practices, lead show site safety meetings, and immediately report any hazards or accidents. Professionally interact with customers, sales, and operations staff to provide service excellence while confirming advance freight deliveries and managing labor requests. Ensure paperwork procedures are followed, produce accurate time cards, and keep job costs to a minimum. Follow set hours of operation and company policies, including required OSHA 10 certification and MVR screening. Participate in corporate and branch training, and support the Event & Exhibit Services team with up to 25% travel.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two year's of trade show or related experience
- Familiarity with Freight Procedures Manual
- Familiarity with Freight Operations Page on the Resouce
- Familiarity with Pre-show Planning Guides
- Familiarity with Post-show Recaps
- Familiarity with TSS Freight Reports
- Familiarity with Exhibitor Kit Forms
- Familiarity with Floor Plans
- Familiarity with Return to Warehouse Manifests
- Familiarity with Incident Reports and Claim Forms
- Familiarity with material handling rates
- Familiarity with show rules and regulations
- Familiarity with association requirements
- Familiarity with invoice collections
- Ability to pass the MVR screen
- Basic understanding of workplace safety practices
- Basic understanding of applicable OSHA requirements
- Ability to consistently follow safety rules
- OSHA 10 Certification
- Travel up to 25%
