Job Summary
Lead, coach, and schedule a provisioning crew while uploading programs, verifying, and shipping industrial control panels built around PLCs and IPCs. Load, configure, and back-up firmware, operating systems, and application code prior to final test, then perform functional verification of I/O, communications, and HMI screens. Enter serial numbers, firmware revisions, and test results into databases with accuracy, and coordinate crate builds, bills of lading, and carrier pickups. Troubleshoot returned panels or field issues, guide technicians through root-cause analysis, and serve as the primary point of contact for customers relying on timely, defect-free deliveries. Maintain calibration logs for flash loaders, barcode scanners, and torque drivers, ensure clean workspaces, and document day-to-day activities.
Required Qualifications
- Seven (7)+ years provisioning or testing industrial control panels
- Two (2)+ years in a leadership or supervisory capacity
- Demonstrated knowledge of PLC/IPC platforms
- Working knowledge of electrical codes
- Working knowledge of quality-management principles
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Basic SQL or ERP data-entry functions
- Valid Driver's license
- Ability to read and comprehend complex work instructions, correspondences, and memos
- Ability to write correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals
- Navigate ERP screens
- Upload firmware via vendor tools
- Join Teams calls for customer acceptance tests
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft office products
- Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
- Calculate watt-loss and power-supply loading
- Apply logical troubleshooting
- Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, diagram, or schedule form
- Lift/carry up to 60 lb. control-panel subassemblies
- Push/pull pallets up to 80 lb.
- Stand and walk on concrete floors for up to 8 hours per shift
- Color vision sufficient to distinguish wiring ferrules and LED status indicators
- Near vision at 12 in. for label verification
- Auditory acuity to hear forklift horns and PA announcements
- Sit and work at a desk more than 8 hours in one day
- Ability to read and comprehend complex work instructions, correspondences, and memos
- Ability to write correspondence
