Job Summary
Coordinate with the Supervisor to assign manpower for shift operations and schedule days off to ensure adequate coverage of critical posts. Monitor earned time off usage, submit accurate reports for timekeeping and deployment justification, and disseminate security policies to subordinates. Prepare and conduct formal training sessions, review subordinate reports for accuracy, and assist in employee evaluations and counseling sessions. Monitor subordinate activities, address unacceptable behavior immediately, and record all counseling sessions in the Administrative Counseling Register. Participate in management meetings to maximize departmental efficiency and attend improvement classes to enhance performance. Adhere to all laws, statutes, and Security/Safety Department policies while maintaining a clear criminal and driving record.
Required Qualifications
- Highschool diploma
- Valid Florida Driver's license with a 'good' driving history (i.e. no D.U.I. or felony traffic violations) and no more than 4 points
- Clear criminal and driving record
Desired Qualifications
- Security License
- Crisis Prevention Intervention training
- College degree (AA)
- 3+ Year of progressively responsible experience in security, military or law enforcement
