Job Summary
Lead commissioning, installation, and maintenance of protective relaying equipment, DFRs, SCADA systems, and automation systems across generation, transmission, and distribution substations. Perform advanced end-to-end relay testing using Doble Protection Suite, Omicron Test Universe, and RTS. Execute functional and scheme testing for reclosing, breaker failure, and advanced logic protocols. Troubleshoot and optimize communication protocols including DNP3 and Modbus using Wireshark and ASE 2000. Develop standardized procedures and mentor junior technicians on field execution for safety and quality. Requires 5+ years of field experience in relay testing and substation commissioning. Valid driver's license and ability to travel are required. Partner with clients and engineering teams to deliver reliable power systems.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years field experience in relay testing, calibration, and substation commissioning without direct supervision
- Expertise in three‐phase power systems, protection schemes, and SCADA integration
- Proficiency with Omicron, Doble, Vanguard, and related test equipment
- Skilled in RTS, Test Universe, Protection Suite, and Accelerator
- Strong leadership, problem‐solving, and communication skills
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel
