Job Summary
Lead Project Manager for SpecPro Sustainment and Environmental, LLC on the U.S. Secret Service campus in Laurel, MD. Serves as the designated site lead for the project team and primary government contact, directing construction activities at a large project site with limited supervision. Responsibilities include coordinating schedules and workload, reviewing submittals for contract conformance, supporting the COR in acquisition phases, conducting design reviews, drafting responses to change orders and statements of work, and ensuring effective communication with customers. Requires on-site work five days a week at JJRTC in Laurel, MD, travel between project locations possible. Must be a U.S. citizen with a current Secret clearance; education required is a four-year degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience); PMP certification is highly desirable; minimum 10 years of project management experience on commercial or Government construction projects; ability to read engineering/architectural drawings, manage complex design/construction projects, and clearly communicate.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Current Secret clearance required before employment
- Exceptional understanding of design and construction practices, codes, and techniques
- Ability to read and understand engineering and architectural drawings and specifications
- Ability to plan, coordinate, and execute complex design and construction projects
- Strong oral and written communication abilities required
- Four-year degree in construction management, engineering, or related field or equivalent experience required
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or other project management certification highly desirable
- Minimum of 10 years of project management experience on commercial or Government construction projects required
- Experience managing large construction projects highly desirable
