Job Summary
Lead Project Manager for Close-Out within the North American Grid Systems Integration (GSI) business, responsible for implementing and maintaining Close-out (COT) and Warranty processes and tools, monitoring warranty obligations, and managing close-out activities for major projects. Drives governance of close-out and warranty, budgets and planning, regional commissioning staffing, RCA and lessons learned, and supports EHS and LEAN initiatives. Requires coordinating cross-functional teams, engaging in risk and PMO activities, and enabling organizational readiness from construction through to post-commissioning obligations. Bilingual French/English, 15% travel including international, and strong leadership in a matrix organization are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Electrical Engineering or Operations degree or equivalent in Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of experience on Project Management in the Power Industry
- Bilingual French & English
- Able and willing to travel 15% including international and comply with GE travel guidelines
- Experience in large projects close-out and warranty activities
- Coordination of different teams and cultures in a matrix organization desirable
- Strong Knowledge on Large Project Management processes
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Capability to act as change agent and empower others
- MS Project and MS Suite proficiency
- Strong process and operational experience in project close-out and services
