Job Summary
Lead Project Management Specialist supports the Project Director in planning and executing contracts for nuclear power plant design/construction, ensuring on-time delivery, P&L accountability, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include assisting with cost structuring in Oracle ERP, coordinating kickoff meetings, developing and issuing the Project Management Plan and related procedures, deploying project infrastructure/tools, ensuring compliance with contract/government requirements, organizing project records, drafting meeting notes and progress reports, and other duties as assigned. Requires a Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of project management experience (nuclear preferred). Preferred candidates have engineering/STEM background, cost/schedule/quality oversight experience, strong communication, Six Sigma familiarity, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. This is a remote-eligible role with a location preference for the GVH Headquarters in Wilmington, NC; relocation assistance is provided. The role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information and work authorization in the United States.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
- minimum of 2 years managing projects
- eligibility for access to U.S. export-controlled information
- ability to obtain authorization for access to export-controlled information from the U.S. Government
- experience in project planning, cost control, scheduling, and documentation
- strong communication and leadership skills
- proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- experience with Oracle ERP or similar financial systems
- knowledge of the power industry or large-scale energy projects (preferred)
- Six Sigma training (BB, DFSS, etc.) (GE Employees only)
- ability to work remotely or in Wilmington, NC with relocation if needed
- US work authorization
