Job Summary
Conduct engineering analysis, design, and construction management support for heavy industrial water, wastewater, and pipeline projects. Supervise technical project staff while preparing preliminary engineering reports, designs, plans, specifications, and contract bid documents. Analyze survey data, compute process loadings and flow rates, and perform design reviews to ensure regulatory compliance and cost efficiency. Recommend technological changes to improve system reliability and develop operation & maintenance manuals. Coordinate with sub-consultants, assist in proposal development, and mentor junior engineers to meet critical deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- 10-15 years of heavy industrial experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize personal workload and make necessary adjustments in meeting critical deadlines
- Knowledge of industry best practices related to Quality Control/Quality Assurance
- Proficiency in the use of a computer for design and understanding of CAD operations
- Knowledge and understanding of applicable industry codes and regulations
- Ability to mentor project engineering staff members early in their career development
