Job Summary
Lead Project Engineer responsible for hardware execution and delivery across multiple projects; serve as the internal owner for all hardware-related needs, coordinating with procurement to track purchase orders and manage lead times; act as the central liaison between Engineering Managers, Project Managers, and Technical Leads to remove roadblocks and align priorities; collaborate with Systems and Hardware System Engineers for timely lab bring-up, configuration, and maintenance of lab equipment; own open punchlist items and drive resolution with hardware manufacturers and external suppliers; requires a Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronics, or mechanical engineering, at least 5 years of hardware-focused engineering or project management experience, and travel up to 25% (including one week per month at the Wilmington, NC facility); access to U.S. export-controlled information; relocation provided; compensation range $98,400–$164,000 plus benefits and discretionary bonus; GE Vernova is an equal opportunity employer and offers a comprehensive benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronics, or mechanical engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a hardware-focused engineering, instrumentation and controls, project engineering or project management role
