Job Summary
Coordinate client interfaces and manage resources across multi-office project teams for facility design, modifications, and upgrades. Track and report project budget and schedule progress internally and to clients while overseeing technical work execution. Manage planning, scheduling, and budgeting for engineering design projects adhering to PMI principles and NQA-1 quality assurance procedures. This role requires a U.S. citizen with a security clearance and a BS in engineering, offering $118,023-$180,313 in a hybrid arrangement. You will support the Government Services Division's mission-critical work for DOE and NNSA, developing facilities and systems for national research laboratories and the nuclear weapons production complex.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to obtain US Government security clearance
- BS degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program
- 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in engineering
- Experience in engineering design
- Working knowledge of design drawing, calculations, and specifications
- Working knowledge of processes and procedures for planning, scheduling, budgeting, and tracking engineering design projects
- Working knowledge of operations in facilities involving hazardous operations such as DOE nuclear facilities
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong PC skills
Desired Qualifications
- MS degree
- PE License
- Expertise in software tools such as Excel, Primavera/P6, Microsoft Project, and other Microsoft Office software tools
- An understanding of the practical application of engineering and technology, including applying systems, principles, techniques, and procedures to a project design
- Construction planning, oversight, and safety, especially in a highly regulated environment like a DOE national laboratory
- Familiarity with NQA-1 Quality Assurance programs and procedures
