Job Summary
Establish and maintain project controls and change management systems throughout the project lifecycle. Design cost and change control processes, enforce vendor tracking standards, and conduct cost analysis and benchmarking studies to drive project decisions. Perform quantity takeoffs, prepare cost estimates, and review contractor bids to ensure pricing accuracy and alignment with Rivian standards. Provide value engineering suggestions, negotiate unit prices with the purchasing team, and support the roll-out of business processes including forecasting, reporting, and schedule/cost integration. Engage with stakeholders across Design, Real Estate, and Construction teams, as well as partner vendors, to ensure full cost and scope capture. This role supports Facilities Construction projects including Workplace, Manufacturing, and Retail sites. The position is hybrid-based in Atlanta, GA.
Required Qualifications
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or a related subject
- minimum of 5 years of increasingly responsible construction estimating experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Quantity takeoff skill
- Strong attention to detail
- Capable of independent action with minimal direction
- Highly effective negotiation skills
- Thorough understanding of construction administration processes, including contracts, budgets, construction documents, change orders, schedules, RFIs, submittals, and material procurement
- Proficient in the use of standard business software applications (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Proficient time management and organization skills
