Job Summary
Lead Program Manager in NPD responsible for engineering-focused new product development in a hybrid role based in Towson, MD. You will independently lead high-complexity projects with significant capital spend, including Batteries and Chargers development, and drive cross-functional collaboration to advance program objectives. You will generate and implement continuous improvement for program management, process management, and cross-functional relationships, monitor portfolio-level metrics (e.g., Agility, Product Cost, Capital Spending, CTQ), and develop mitigation actions. You will support and train colleagues to improve performance related to portfolio goals, collaborate with Product Management to monitor and influence program P&L, and ensure proper planning, resource allocation, risk communication to leadership, and timely delivery across global teams. The role emphasizes proactive problem-solving, influencing stakeholders, and leveraging best practices to deliver innovative results across multiple high-impact projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, mathematics or related field
- 10+ years of experience in Engineering Product Development
- Proven experience in new product development within consumer and professional goods industries
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Familiarity with structured project management methodologies (e.g., Critical Path)
