Lead Production Worker

Job Summary
Coordinate production, distribution, and warehousing in accordance with established policies. Implement plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and employees while planning operations, establishing priorities, and revising schedules due to equipment failure. Inspect machines to ensure optimal performance and observe workers for compliance with production standards. Provide direction and supervise employees by training, assigning work, and resolving problems. Requisition tools and supplies, consolidate operational data, and communicate safety standards to ensure a safe environment. Confers with management to resolve maintenance issues and recommend operational improvements. Regular attendance is required between 8:30 am and 7:30 pm, seven days a week, with flexibility for weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate
- 2 years of college
- related work experience
- training involving supervisory level work in operational management
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write brief routine reports and correspondence in reporting incidents and or other documentation
- Ability to speak effectively and clearly in providing direction and instructions required for operational functions
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Ability to interpret financial information provided in meeting and complying with budgetary requirements
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Ability to function independently utilizing initiative and creativity

- Must be able to stand/walk for several hours at a time
- Must be able to lift up to 25lbs
- Must be able to occasionally maneuver wheeled containers weighing up to 300 pounds
- Exposed to outside weather conditions and heat
- Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
