Job Summary
Lead Production Technician to supervise and develop a manufacturing team responsible for producing UAS for strategic military and commercial customers. You will lead technician staff in the production and delivery process, apply advanced hardware assembly, troubleshooting, and repair skills, ensure adherence to safety procedures and standard work, and drive on-time delivery through prioritization and effective workload management. The role requires building a positive, collaborative team culture, participating in 5S and continuous improvement activities, maintaining daily records and reporting, and supporting operator training and certification programs. You will work with MES, NetSuite, JIRA, SQL, and Tableau, interpret mechanical and electrical documentation, and uphold LEAN manufacturing principles, ECO/change management, and safety standards. A lead capable of mentoring technicians, coordinating with production management, and contributing to process improvements is essential, with the potential for coordinating certification training and maintaining required credentials, including security considerations for export-controlled environments.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in production-oriented manufacturing or electro-mechanical technician fields
- Prior experience leading a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Experience with ERP and MES systems (NetSuite, JIRA, SQL, Tableau)
- Understanding of product life cycle (NPI to scaled production), LEAN manufacturing principles, and change management (ECOs)
- Ability to interpret technical documentation (mechanical drawings, work instructions, building plans, equipment specs, electrical schematics)
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export controlled data
- Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities
