Job Summary

Conduct daily line checks and provide direction to production team members to ensure key metrics are met accurately and in a timely manner. Enforce all company safety policies by identifying and correcting machine and work area safety issues, and lead accident investigations as required. Coordinate with shift Team Leaders, Supervisors, and Production Staff to achieve smooth production runs and ensure all components and paperwork for the next schedule are ready. Perform other related duties as required, including managing a team of 4-10+ people and utilizing Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. This 2nd shift role at Cornerstone Building Brands' New Albany facility supports our mission to positively contribute to communities through manufacturing exterior building products.

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Shift Lead
  • 3-5 years of experience leading a team of 4-10+ people
  • 5-8 years of experience in manufacturing
  • 5-8 years of experience on a Sit-down 10k+ forklift
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills combined with the ability to coach, train, and mentor all levels of associate
  • Ability to develop and play a team member role with other plant members
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends, as well as off shift as required
  • Can functionally use a tape measure
  • Ability to carry out written or verbal instructions
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
  • Ability to use Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to use Microsoft Word
  • Ability to use Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to apply
  • Must be available for 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday (2:00PM - 10:00PM)
  • Must be available for training on 1st shift (6:00AM - 2:00PM)
  • Must comply with and enforce all company safety policies
  • Must be able to assist in identifying and correcting machine and work area safety issues
  • Must be able to conduct accident investigations as required
  • Must be able to provide direction to all production team members
  • Must be able to perform routine line checks several times daily
  • Must be able to interact with other shift Team Leaders, Supervisors, and Production Staff
  • Must be able to ensure all components and paperwork for next schedule are ready

Desired Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of experience in manufacturing (preferred)
