Job Summary
The Lead Product Marketing Engineer will bridge the gap between engineering and marketing for Renishaw’s optical encoder product lines. This role involves developing and executing product strategies that emphasize technical strengths and commercial value. Responsibilities include collaborating with engineering teams to understand technical specifications, developing product positioning and messaging for target industries, conducting market research, creating presentations and product demos, supporting the sales team with training and technical guidance, and engaging with customers and industry influencers. The ideal candidate will have a degree in a relevant engineering or technical discipline, proven experience in product marketing, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified in an appropriate engineering/ STEM discipline such as physics, or a related technical field
- Proven experience in product marketing, technical sales, or product management within a high-tech or engineering environment
- Experience with semiconductor, metrology, or precision engineering markets
- Strong understanding of market research, product positioning, and go-to-market strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into compelling marketing messages
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and engage with stakeholders at all levels
- Willingness to travel
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in laser or optical encoder technology is highly desirable
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance, product lifecycle management, and technical documentation standards
- Previous involvement in new product development or launch activities
