Job Summary
Lead AI Builder role: hands-on senior software engineer and player/coach who writes production-quality code to prototype GenAI capabilities (text, image, audio, video), builds integrated workflows for media/content, and mentors a small delivery pod. Partners with AI Product Managers and stakeholders to shape high-impact opportunities, designs scalable architectures, evaluates model and system tradeoffs (quality, latency, cost, privacy, IP risk), and translates ambiguous requirements into working software with clear interfaces and practical documentation. Responsibilities include prototyping web apps, scripts, automations; implementing integrations with internal platforms and external APIs (LLMs, media generation, speech, vector databases); hardening prototypes into pilot/production services with tests, CI/CD, monitoring, and documentation; and fostering a culture of responsible experimentation and reusable patterns. Requires 12+ years building software, hands-on GenAI experience via APIs/SDKs, and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience; strong full-stack skills (TypeScript/JS, Python, Node.js, React, REST/GraphQL, SQL/NoSQL); ability to mentor and lead small delivery pods; hybrid work schedule.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years building software with hands-on coding experience and shipping production-ready products
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Hands-on experience integrating and evaluating GenAI capabilities (LLMs, image/video generation, speech) via APIs/SDKs, including prompt/tool orchestration and evaluation techniques
- Working proficiency with full-stack technologies: TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, Node.js, React, REST/GraphQL, and SQL or NoSQL data stores
- Experience mentoring builders and/or leading small delivery teams without requiring heavy people management
