Lead Product Engineer

Job Summary
Review customer requirements and develop technical system specifications for battery packs in industrial and low voltage automotive markets. Apply systems engineering methodologies to design, develop, and validate products while leading safety analyses including HARA, DFMEA, and FMEDA. Partner with test, simulation, and OEM engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and compliance with standards such as ISO and UL. Own product design and safety documentation, report project progress, and propose risk mitigations. Utilize requirements management software to drive cross-functional coordination and quality work products.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors in Mechanical, Electrical or related engineering field required
- 7+ years of relevant product engineering experience in the electronics, battery or mobility industries preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Masters preferred
- Knowledge of a requirements management tool (DOORS, Integrity, ViSure) a benefit
- Requirements writing proficiency through work experience
- Knowledge of systems engineering and associated standards: i.e. INCOSE Certification, ISO 26262, ISO 15288
