Job Summary
Lead Product Design at Deezer, responsible for owning, evolving, and championing Tempo — Deezer's design system. Phase 1 focuses on stabilizing Figma libraries, establishing contribution flows, deprecation, icon updates, release notes, health metrics, governance (office hours, onboarding, DS champions), and realignment of the design team around shared conventions. Phase 2 scales the system by connecting Tempo to Brand, CRM, and Marketing, onboarding contributors, automating processes via the Figma API (release notes, doc sync, parity checks), building a Content System for copy and tone‐of‐voice patterns, enabling AI-assisted prototyping, and exploring tools like Dust AI and Code Connect to speed velocity on a public, code-connected DS repo. Qualifications emphasize deep Figma expertise, documentation, API/webhooks/automation, and familiarity with design tokens and frontend technologies. The role requires leadership in governance and adoption, strong cross-functional communication, autonomous ownership, and a portfolio/case studies demonstrating impact. The role is hybrid remote with offices in Paris, France.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years in design systems, product design, or design engineering
- Deep Figma expertise — variables, auto-layout, component architecture, library management
- Experience writing clear, structured component documentation
- Figma API, webhooks, or automation scripting
- Understanding design tokens and cross‐platform development (Compose/Swift/React)
- Experience with AI prototyping or LLM-assisted design workflows a strong plus
- Portfolio or case studies demonstrating impact (mandatory)
- Strong cross-functional communication
- Autonomy and ownership in driving subjects
