Lead Procurement Specialist

Job Summary
Lead procurement activities for materials, components, and services in Gulf Cluster; ensure timely procurement execution aligned with project schedules, operational requirements, and business priorities; coordinate with planning, logistics, engineering, project management, quality, manufacturing, and finance teams to support execution needs; monitor supplier execution performance and drive corrective follow-up; ensure compliance with commercial terms, internal controls, and process requirements; collaborate with Sourcing Management on supplier evaluation and selection; identify and escalate procurement risks including delays, shortages, invoice issues, and supply gaps; utilize SAP/ERP systems for procurement transactions, order tracking, goods receipt follow-up, invoice coordination, reporting, and process control; support continuous improvement in procurement execution, reporting quality, lead time management, and operational efficiency; act as key contact for procurement escalations affecting operations and project delivery in Gulf Cluster; circulate periodic reporting on open purchase orders and supplier invoice status; travel within the region as required; 20% travel requirement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Economics, Operations, or a related field from an accredited university or college
- Minimum 10 years’ experience of procurement management within an industrial, electrical, manufacturing, project, or technology-driven environment
- Mandatory experience working in Gulf countries, with strong understanding of regional procurement practices and supplier environments
- Mandatory extensive and strong hands-on experience with SAP and other ERP systems
- Strong experience in preparing procurement reports and managing data visibility for operational and project stakeholders
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple operational priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- This role requires 20% travel within the region
