Job Summary
Provide process support for manufacturing in assigned areas by offering hands-on training for new operators and assisting with troubleshooting to eliminate process issues. Deliver daily operational support focused on cost reduction through dimensional control and manufacturing method improvements while demonstrating safe, quality-conscious work habits. Actively participate in Lean activities including Kaizen events, huddles, and problem-solving sessions, utilizing lean tools from the Southwire Toolkit. Coordinate with support staff to resolve problems and assist leadership in identifying training needs. Typically requires 80% of duties on the production floor with a 7:00am-4:00pm shift in El Paso, TX.
Required Qualifications
- 3 plus years of experience and working knowledge of manufacturing equipment and process
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- experience with SAP
- experience with Advaris
- strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- high level of mechanical aptitude
- clear understanding of OPS
- clear understanding of the DHP principles and applications
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities
- outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills
- Must have clear understanding of OPS, the DHP principles and applications
- Must demonstrate the ability to learn new skills and adapt to change quickly
- Must be flexible and willing to accept responsibilities that are outside the traditional scope
- Ability to work flexible hours and shifts
