Job Summary
Lead Process Maintenance Technician responsible for preventative maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of blending processing systems and plant utilities. Leads a small crew (1-3 technicians), sets daily schedules, oversees maintenance on purified water systems, plant utilities, and liquid blending equipment, ensures regulatory compliance and safety, maintains detailed records of maintenance activities, and coordinates with other departments and external vendors. Requires strong problem-solving, communication, and hands-on mechanical/electrical skills; candidate should have experience with purified water systems, plant utilities, and liquid blending process equipment, plus familiarity with GMP/cGMP and safety procedures. 1st shift hours: Mon-Fri, 7:00am-3:30pm; location: Orangeburg, NY (on-site).
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Technical or Trade School Graduate
- Associate Degree in electro-mechanics preferred
- 7 - 10 years of experience in industrial equipment troubleshooting and maintenance
- Knowledge of Purified Water Systems
- Good knowledge of process equipment (photo sensors, solenoids, relays, electric motors, air mixers, pumps, pneumatics) and basic electricity/controls
- Experience with GMP/cGMP and safety practices
Desired Qualifications
- 7 - 10 years of experience in industrial equipment troubleshooting and maintenance
- knowledge of Purified Water Systems
- Associate Degree in electro-mechanics preferred
- High School Diploma or Technical/Trade School Graduate preferred
- ability to work extended shifts and overtime including nights weekends and holidays
- experience with PLC or process control systems (a plus)
- strong verbal and written communication skills
- problem-solving and analytical abilities
- ability to lead a small crew (1-3 members)
- experience coordinating with other departments and outside vendors
